Julie Hale started acting with Dublin Youth Theatre, has a diploma in Theatre Studies from TCD, studied with Uta Hagen at the HB Studio, New York and Tim Mc Donald at the New Theatre, Dublin.

Her theatre work includes ‘Lovechild’, ‘Ceaucescu’s Ear’ and ‘Pericles’ with Gerry Stembridge. ‘Sunshine Boys’at the Gate Theatre. ‘Exiles’ by James Joyce at ‘The Friends of the Italian Opera Theatre’ in Berlin.‘Abigail’s Party’ and ‘The Gingerman’ at The New Theatre. ‘The Gingerman’ then   transferred to the Irish Arts Centre, New York where she also did ‘Red Roses and Petrol’.

Her Film and Television work includes My Left Foot, Ash Wednesday, Troubles, Black and White, When Brendan me Trudy, Flick, Black Day at Blackrock, Bobbie’s Girl, Ulysses, Faircity,The Bone Hunter and Rain Dogs.

Julie's currently living and working from Glasgow.
